I wouldn't expect to see that much space in Singapore. I've never been there, just got the impression it was very compact and dense.

For a oversized 8ft table, I would suggest a 8ft light. Length for standard suspension cable is 10ft long. Recommand height from table will be 45-60 inch.

Any reason a 7'x3' light wouldn't work with a 9' table? Does it look bad aesthetically? Just thinking that since these don't have grids, and light spreads as it moves away from its source, a 7' should work fine on a 9' table if it is mounted 60" above the table?
