With Trump as president of the USA will US based players winning prizes outside of the US be taxed more?

Will US based players be taxes out of their prizes in tournaments outside of the US after tax changes?

Take the next comment lightly:
Kevin Trudeau would have had a successful IPT product to promote if it weren't for changes in online gambling.

It happened to fantasy sports sites, but were later found to be legal.

Should US pro events collaborate on their schedule to make it easier for foreign players to compete within their visa stay?

These questions apply to a small population, it may not even be worth addressing. I bring it up because their situation could be better if there was a discussion, maybe?

I doubt that very few professional pay taxes on their winnings. The tax law allows expenses to be deducted from gambling or winnings up to the amount of winnings. I am sure that everyone has and can prove more "expenses" than winnings. These expenses are for the whole year and not just for the tornament that they won it in.

If they do pay any taxes it would be from other earnings such as videos, books,
promotional appearances, lessons, ownership in a PH, endorsements and etc.
