Tournaments in General--Format

Ive looked at different formats for tournaments. Ive seen a few things done but not a lot. I just know that I dont favor the Double Elimination format for Pool Tournaments.

I would like to hear your comments and hear what you have to share about great formats you have played or are familiar with.

Round robin is a great format, just takes a very long time to run.

I agree Tim. Ive messed around with Round Robin a good bit. Corey Deuel ran 3 Seminole Pro Tour events Modified Round Robin and I attended and helped run an event for WPBA East Coast Finals that was like that.

What they did was bust the crowd up into Pools of 8 and then everyone played the members of their pool on a Saturday. Saturday night Sunday morning they finished that up and then the finals were run Single Elimination/Double Elimination Finish and we done somewhere around 8pm Sunday night.

I wonder how that would be recieved in Pool Tour?
