Tournaments in the York PA area?

The Yankee Club is not going away. We have tried to have some tournaments during the summer months but players typically don't show up during the warmer months. We will be starting either a Friday night or Sunday afternoon or possibly both tournaments starting in the fall. We currently have a 16 player straight pool league that runs all summer long. If you want to become a member of the club let me know and I will get you signed up. There is no better place to play pool in or around York than at the Yankee Club.

A friend tried a friday night tournament at the yankee and couldn't get anyone to shop up. There is a bar box tournament at the red rose every friday night that seems to get any where from 8 to 18 players even in the summer.
Dude seriously join the yankee club. where else can you play on 9 foot gold crowns for a buck an hour which most people are to cheap to pay so they stopped in forcing it. the yankee club is in a bad way. There membership is at its lowest point. If you could go back 10 years you waited in line on the weekends to get a table and there was never a problem getting a game and the card room always had multiple games going on.Now on most nights it's a ghost town. I was in saturday night with my wife from 6 to midnight and that whole time only one other person was on the tables and there were maybe 5 peopel at the bar. there trying to suger coat it but the fact is with only about 250 male members and about 50 female members it's going to have a tough time getting through the summer unless something is done. I hope I'm wrong ..it will be a sad day when the yankee closes it's door.
