On average how much do your traditional half splice points shorten for every .010 removed from the diameter of the cue. I know everyone may have a different answer that's why I'm asking for an average.

It varies greatly depending on the taper of the butt and the angle that points were cut into the butt.

Mine seem to pull back about 1/2 inch for .100 diameter cut.
