Monday night East of Kansas City in Blue Springs Misouri all of my traveling equipment, trailer, and supplies were stolen from the back of my truck in a Hampton Inn parking lot. I will post a description when I get home. Just a quickie. White 5'x10' enclosed s and h trailer with brakes spare tire on the tongue and a scrape half way up on the front driver side of the trailer. Inside there was a flip down ramp and bars to hold the carts in place.

If any one has any information please contact me 724-331-6649 or the police in Blue Springs Misouri 816-228-0150 incident number 2008-07483.

That sucks man.
Damn thieves anyhow. Gonna bite my tongue for now.
I wish you the best on getting it all back.

Sorry to hear about your loss. If you lost any cuemaking supplies I will be happy to contribute some to help you overcome this loss.

Good Cuemaking,

Tiger Products and Mike Gulyassy come to mind immediately when I hear of this sort of thing. I hate hearing this!

Sorry for your loss and I too will be more than happy to help out.

Stolen Items

Sorry to hear this.
I sympathize with you, but thanks for posting it.
This is the second one this week and I will be much more careful after reading these threads.

The only thing I can do is keep an eye out for your stuff.
Who knows, here in Colorado, something may turn up.

GPS or Tracking device maybe?

I'm not sure if it is practical, or cost effective, but........In the age of the gps/tracking devices, placing a tracking/tracing device inside your trailer maybe something to consider. I realize it's an off the wall thought, but $80,000 worth of loss would surely give me some reason to consider off the wall ideas, and I'm sure there are any number of security/loss prevention/surveillance companies who could offer advice in this arena. I know this will not help solve your current situation, and my apologies for your loss. Hope they catch the b@$#%rds, and let you use their testicles for a pinata!

I know how you feel. Lost all of my cues, cases, equipment and supplies in South Bend, IN last March. Never saw any of it again. Hope you have better luck that me.
David

Thanks guys here is an update of what was in the case..
Arnot I appreciate it. I will be in touch I may take you up on a custom jig hehe.. Thanks again..

2 display cases that the top flips up on and a mirror and light inside along with a bar to lock the cues in. 5' x 26" black storage cabinet underneath both with locks. The repair carts were black with cabinets underneath 1 jet wood lathe cut and lengthened and one 7x10 harbor freight lathe for ferrule work on one bench. the other had drawers and plastic bins in the top cabinet underneath and an old creative inventions lathe on top. Damn that was a nice machine. 500 in ivory 12-1300 in tips 3 -400 in ferrules tooling out the tail. A lot of my shop was in that trailer not to mention all of the custom collets and drive sets. A little black book with all the bastard threads in it and about 200 in cash. 1100 in linen, 2 presses, an air compressor, bench grinder, bar clamps, epoxy, sealr, glue, the list goes on. I do not expect to have anything returned. I just hope my insurance is as good as it is supposed to be. The stuff that can be bought is one thing but the custom stuff you can't put a price on.
I talked to Joe out there this week and he told me about it. Man I thought I did everything right. backed against a curb in the light with locks and they still managed to get it. They even stole the hitch out of the back of the truck. Big bolls man big bolls.

FWIW I just bought a new camcorder last week and have videoed my whole shop and inventory. I was thinking about what would happen if there was a break in or fire. Obviously this would not help you now but in the future you could use the video to inventory everything in the trailor and/or shop. I am sure there are a million things you forgot that were in there that you will discover are gone over time. Just a thought. Chris.

Sucks John..........hope for the best...prepare for the worst.
Good luck with your insurance/recovery efforts.....

Lo-Jack....made for just about anything these days from autos to lap tops...

All I can say is WOW. I'm really sorry to hear about this brother. Thieves never cease to amaze me in their lack of concern and consideration. I've never understood it. I hope you get your equipment back and the bastards get what they deserve. Wish there was more I could do to help. Good Luck.

Damn John,

I don't like hearing this at all. Your too nice of a guy for something like This, and don't deserve It. I hope They catch up with the AH's that did This. What's going on, It almost sounds like someone is targeting cuemaker's trailers?
You know I'm just a poor ol boy, but If there is anything I can do or spare to help You out don't hesistate to ask, and I'll try to help in anyway possible.

We will definately be on the look out down here just in case It makes It's way accross the states somehow.

I don't know how anyone could not have seen something, and tried to stop them, or atleast called the law. I guess I'm just one of those people that can't stand by and do nothing, even when the stuff doesn't belong to Me. I've chased My share of thieves in the dark over My own stuff and over Other's stuff. I've been told one day that I'll probably get shot, and maybe It's true, but It's hard for Me to stand back and not do something.

I'm glad to hear you had insurance, but I'm sure like most of us you had alot of custom stuff that can't just be purchased as a replacement, and so I hope they catch up with whoever did This & get Your stuff back.

Greg

*&#%@ John...that sucks, big time ! Do you have the brand of trailer and serial number to post. I know that I'll be sure to notice any white trailers as I go places.

also, have you posted this on the ICA site and others. the more who read & know about this, the better chance of someone seeing something.

.
.
**sorry, I re-read and you told us the brand of trailer...

Damn

I'm only a couple hours a way, so if anything makes it's way to my neck of the woods I'll let you know.

Sorry to hear that

If it was local common thugs they might try and sell some of the stuff a local pawn shops or not far down the road for whatever they can get or at flee markets. You have alot of friends on AZ billiards. I Will watch Ebay and craigslist for any of the items you mentioned and call if I see anything.

Sorry to hear that John. It really sucks that assh@les get away with this sh!$!!! The lo-jack sounds good, but only if it has a 'special' red button, so you can take the damn idiots out and get some satisfaction, guaranteed not to be a repeat offender. I'm an eye for an eye type of guy with this kind of stuff. Good luck with the insurance, hope all ends well for you.
