When I'm not at the pooltable I'm usually at my computer drawing 3D stuff to be printed.
And of course, also some thingies for the pool hobby.

First is a gate for precision aiming.
I made it 2"3/8 wide and upside down 2"1/2
With the middle marking you can align with the headstring and see ik you can play straight with no english

Along the length of the table you can align with the diamonds for real precision aiming.
For a beginner I place it standing up against the cushion and just ask to not hit it ... alot of players already were in shock of the level of difficulty.
When shooting, freeze after hitting the cueball and see if the rebound comes straight back to your tip ...

I've got a nice 10 second video of my pupil practicing but don't know how to get a MP4 video file on this thread.

Second goodie comes later.

I’ve been thinking of something similar. Another variation of shooting through golf tees. Instead of a solid piece that needs to be reset if touched, make an adjustable rack. Turn a knob on the side and you can tighten or loosen the wickets. They hang freely so you can see them move if hit. I’m on my phone so can’t post a napkin sketch of what I’m thinking.
