Training Facility.

If someone from a good distance away was looking for lodging, what would you recommend?

There are several motels and hotels about 1-2 minutes away. And I always have room for a guest for a day or two.

Happy to say that I signed a lease on a space that will be used as the headquarters of JB Cases AND a training facility for our area.

We are moving tables in next week and will be setting up cameras and TVs and acquiring training materials and helpful devices.

We will be the only place for those under 18 to go for proper training in our immediate area.

Our goal is that every time you walk out of our "dojo" you will be a better player than when you came in.

I decided that I needed to be doing more hands-on work to make pool grow.
Maybe someone asked already... will you have a streaming setup?

Freddie <~~~ luvs a good stream

John I am not too far away, when you get the facility up and going contact me and I will set up a time I can make it out for a weekend and give some lessons to the kids.

I love to teach kids. Just waiting for my grandson to get a little older then 2.

First kid hitting balls at our place. Working on getting a diamond bar table as well. Hope it works out.

Thats my kiddo! He is 9 years old and can already hold a cue properly.

John is crazy enough to hand him a Gilbert Custom cue to use, :):confused:

The Gold Crown is set up. Working on the rest of the room piece by piece.

Feel free to tell us your favorite pool lined and motivational phrases.

Earlier today I was getting a little frustrated with my kids running around and Matthew said it was good training. I agreed and immediately shifted my mind to dealing with the kids AND focusing when it was my shot despite their antics.

I would like to thank Charlie Bond for his pledge of a Break Rak - http://breakrak.com/

I think the Break Rak is one of the best training tools ever created and I loaned mine to Kelly Fisher and never got it back (where's my jelly Kelly?)

I was going to buy one for our training center but Charlie preempted me and donated one.

And once we are set up Charlie has another surprise in store for us and the pool world.

----------------------------

And a huge thank you to Jeremiah Gage for his pledge of a Bullseye Billiards set. http://bullseyebilliards.net/

Those of you who grew up doing target practice on a pool table will appreciate how valuable a tool this is for training position play.

Jeremiah also ran a similar (and nicer) facility in Arizona for five years so his advice is welcome and invaluable.

Thank you again for all the encouragement. I hope we inspire more billiard businesses to try and do similar things to keep pool alive in their area and help it to grow.

Hey JB! On vacation this week and might take a trip down to OKC this week and am hoping your Billiard Institute is up and going full force making champions. Would love to visit sometime this week.
