Travel Bag for Cue Cases.

This is great info. My old bag finally gave out this year so now I have some options. The one Lenny linked has a 42 inch option that looks like the one I'm gonna go with. The worst that happens is I throw it in the trash.

Don't do the 42" one, some airlines will considier that oversized and you will have to pay extra. Trust me the 36" in plenty for cue cases.

Jim lives in Colorado where he could be growing a lot more than just 8-balls><
Now he's growing 8-balls while entering in to the witness protection program, hanging out with JB making mini cues.
Then look at JB, international casemaker extraordinaire, stuffing bubble wrap into a 39-duffel to travel with his cues.
You would think that after all those years of designing cue cases and going to shows, he would of designed something better than bubble wrap into a 39-dollar duffel bag.

Before I was relocated (thanks Ted)I made many Mini's and needed to protect them, this was my preferred method of shipping.

I would never use such a minimal amount of bubble wrap. That cushion needs to be at least 1" thick to be considered barely adequate.

I forgot, you really like to load those babies up with bubble wrap.
I'm the same way with tape, we should start a shipping business

you Smart-Ass! ;)
ok, so i'm thinking that the rolling duffel bag, needs to completely zip-open from the top, including left & right edges. so that it's easier to stuff cases, etc into. while being 36:L , to avoid additional charges. right?

Without reading the entire thread (taboo, I know)....

I have a 36-inch bag that works great:
They typically have shoe compartments on the ends. I unzipped one to find that I had spilled shampoo. It was a bear to clean, so I cut the lining out. Now all of a sudden I have a very nice bag that is easy to load and unload cue cases from. For the ultimate in frugality, I've gone this route:

Military duffle

Careful young lady...name calling could delay the mini I have planned for you:wink:.
Duffel bags are flexible enough to accept most cases. Cases are around 34" and if you use the left/right diagonal with the up/down diagonal you should have no problem.

Just so you know it only takes a duffel about 7 inches long to haul a mini cue around the country:thumbup:

I needed a travel bag to carry my cases. We make one but it wasn't large enough for the amount of cases I wanted to carry.

So I shopped around and came across this one.

It's only $39 and is decently made. It easily fits about 6+ cue cases, I haven't filled it up yet to see the total capacity.

My main criteria was to find one where the cases could be easily inserted and taken out. For some reason there are many 36" duffels where the opening is only like 25" making it hard or impossible to get cases into them.

I just used this one for my trip from OKC to China and it arrived undamaged. I don't know how many trips it will last but for $39 anything past one long one is a bonus.

So if you are looking for an inexpensive solution to hold your team's cases as you travel to this year's big events - here is one.

I guess I should have bought a bunch and rebranded them as JB Cases and charged triple. :-)

Interesting with the bolded part.
