Traveling With Cues

I was talking to a friend tonight about a trip I have coming up in August to DC. We have plans to play some 1 pocket and I wanted to bring my cues. He (and I as well) have reservations about flying with cues.

I was wondering what experiences/advice you guys have.

Use a golf club travel bag. Wrap your case in some clothes and put it/them inside.
