i am wondering what everyones thoughts are about traveling and taking your own cue with you. i am headed to New York (by plane) and have given some thought to shooting some while i am there. should i take my own or just use a house cue?
thank you in advance

When I travel to big tourneys I will make the hotel aware of it and fed-Ex the cue insured to the hotel and have them keep it secured for me until I arrive, then ship it home when I am done. No worries at all, if it is broken, I over insured it, and if the hotel losses it, they will compinsate me.

just a good time

i am just looking to enjoy myself and shoot some pool in a nice pool hall (Amsterdam Billiard). i am not looking to hustle or anything of that nature

Amsterdam has house that cues that you can use and they are just fine. I wouldn't try to hustle in that place though. The locals can play.;)
