Triangle tips.....

Has anyone tried "Royal Oak" cue tips, (Also made by Tweeten Fibre Co. that makes the Triangle, Elkmaster and Cyclone tips, as well as Master & Triangle billiard chalk) they seem to be a M/S tip and shoot pretty nicely :)

I haven't tried Triangle tips yet, but I probably will give them a try once I can get sorted with another player cue :)

I'm after some opinions please from players that use/have used Triangle tips:

What did you think of them?
How hard would you rate them if compared to the moori scale?
And were they on a low deflection shaft or a standard shaft?

Thanks for your help,

Dave
I haven't played with a lot of tips but I did try a few including Moori and I settled on Triangle. Not too hard, not too soft on a standard Schon shaft @ 12.75.

I had my last triangle over a year and a half... playing 20+ hours per week..

it and all the ones before it just kept getting better and better as I played with them.

I love them ..the harder the better...

preference means a lot... but if you like em hard.. triangles are the best... at least for me..

Difference between the types of tips

Just trying to learn more about tips.
What is the differences between tips like Mooris and triangle. I know one is layered and one isn't. I realize that everyone has there own preference.
I now have moori's on, but have used triangles a few years ago. I know the moori's med are harder to shape. I spent the extra money for the morri's after reading that they were the best. It makes no sense to just keep spending money changing tip after tip. Suggestions for shaping the morri's would be appreciated.

Pro's and Cons of both types layered & non layered would be helpful.

Well the tirnagle on the OB-1 is great this is the shaft to play with, i was concerned about the ferrule but having hit with the shaft its just great.......

Just wondering if you tried the Everest on the OB1 first before putting on the Triangle? I believe you said you ordered it that way, but I was just wondering if you've ever tried the Everest/OB1 combination. If so, what was the difference to you?

Sorry no i've not tried the everest tip on the OB-1, i wanted to compare the 314-2 and OB-1 shafts using the same tips to get a better feel of the difference. (OB-1 a much nicer shaft to play with)

I'm definately a fan of the triangles and after reading posts on here about how to pick the best ones i think i'm doing ok.........
