I have never seen a Triangle tip box like this...
Can someone tell me if this is old or new or import or what? Also, if you know where they come from, are they any good?

Thanks, Bob

I've been buying tips for many years and never seen a box like that ... Could be a prototype and therefore collectable ... You might send a line to the company ... Are the tips comparable to todays ?

They may be pressed and cut the same but these are coated on the top with something. Also the side of the box where it would say "Master QUALITY" says "KIECKHERER QUALITY"

Are you sure it doesn't say Kieckhefer? If so he is /was a champion 3 cushion player who had a tip line of his own. Maybe tweeten had him endorse some triangles for the 3 cushion market.

Yes, sorry, it does say Kieckhefer. So, that answers the who part. Any idea about the when part?

Yes, the latest article I found was about 1942. Search showed 2 listing for 30 yr old Kieckhefer tips but show up on neither posting.

Those are vintage Triangle tips from the late 60's to 70's. I bought several boxes a few years ago from a guy who bought an old billiard supply in Oklahoma City and found a case of them stashed. The vintage tips are perfectly good. I shared several boxes with cuemaker friends. One cuemaker said he soaked some of the tips in wood hardener and liked the results.
