Trick to getting rust, and oxidation off chrome

Many of you may or may not know this trick so here goes.

It can be done with many different liquids along with using aluminum foil. I used plain tap water along with the foil, and this is the results I got from it. Pics below are the chrome feet to my AMF table.

I've used this trick on bicycles before, it works for sure. THx

Looks great but I don't see anything saying what you did...Please explain

You use aluminum foil and a liquid to buff out the area to be polished. The aluminum in the foil transfers chemically to the oxidized areas. It is pretty cool.

My bad. All I did was fold a piece of the foil and wet it with water. Rub a small area then wipe clean, and repeat if not all came off the first time. Mine had a residue left behind so I just hit that spot a bit longer.
I then waxed them after I was happy with the results. You don't have to rub hard either.
