I thought you had to call the ball in snooker but any pocket was ok.

You have to 'designate'<indicate which of the colors> you are
playing when shooting at a color - Snooker asigns penalties for not
hitting the 'ball on' - or potting any ball not 'on'

None of that is the same as calling a shot - if shooting at a red,
any red ball - any pocket - any way.

Lol history is on my side...I hit the break shot harder than most people I've played...so I think the missed break shot that goes four rails and in was done by me more than by my opponents.

Nevertheless...as a point of rule I think a little luck is not a bad thing...keep it as is I say.
