Truman's Bank Tournament

ring game

just want to let everyone know that there is a bank ring game at Michaels on Jan. 11th. The Fri. night before the tourney.

The flyer says it's open to anyone.

Does this include the likes of Brumback, Murphy, Stone, etc.?

I've heard that in the past, certain heavy hitters were excluded from some of these tournaments, which would be very unfortunate.

Truman has not allowed JB to play in the last few I've heard. Is this the case this time?? I hope he is allowed to play!

I've heard the same thing and from an extremely reputable source. Bank Pool is such an "underground" discipline. It's really disheartening to think that the best players in the world aren't allowed to play in the very few bank tournaments that are held in the U.S.

Great players shouldn't be relegated to only the DCC, Tunica and dingy, dark-cornered action matches.

Watching AND PLAYING against great players.....it's the way us normal players get the oppportunity to be great ourselves.

Let them play! Let them play! Let them play!

Im fairly sure JB isnt allowed in any of Trumans tournaments. Theres some bad blood between them I think.

I was told this weekend that JB will in fact be playing in the next Truman tournament hosted by Michael's billiards. This is not speculation but came directly from one of JB's sponsors.

Can someone from Micheal's clear the air here? Lots of conflicting information swirling around about Brumback being allowed to play in this tournament.

All the people I have talked to want John in the tournament. Some have stated that they may not support these tournaments any longer if this banning of Brumback continues. There are a lot of folks that would come to Micheal's just to watch him play. Banning him from the tournament is taking money out of the tournament and Micheal's pocket.

Ditto to the above. Inquiring minds want to know.
