Trump and Lisowski pulled out of Masters due to COVID

Judd Trump and Jack Lisowski both tested positive for COVID and will not be competing in the Masters, beginning tomorrow at Milton Keynes.

They have been replaced by Gary Wilson and Joe Perry who were on standby as reserves.

Good grief. I missed that happening. Wilson is fortunate to be in the Masters and not suspended. Higgins shows a lot of class in coming to the table and carrying on.

I used to like First Minister Nicola Sturgeon but the longer this Covid-19 goes the more of a dictator she becomes but all world leader seem to be the same .

Here's a laugh , last season Glasgow Rangers FC fans were calling for the SPL football season to be null and void as Covid-19 kicked in but the SFA said all leagues are over , Glasgow Celtic are 9 in a row Champions :

If First Minister Nicola Sturgeon stops all sports in Scotland and you thought you seen it all when they stormed the Capitol buildings in USA just wait until it all kicks off if sport in Scotland is declared null and void , think the ruling was 80% of football games must be played .

It's a kinda like non pool related reply but don't be shocked if they cancel all sports etc until you take the magic vaccine.....

Football likely does more to control the spread of the virus in the UK than any other measure. Millions of males more likely to stay home glued to the telly...a boost to morale

My mom grew up n Battersea in London duing the War. One of the most heavily bombed targets. She said she was often anxious to hear the ‘all clear ’ siren so she’d still be able to rush off to the pictures. Nobody regretted resources used to make films as they helped preserve normalcy in a time of uncertainty. Football has a similar benefit during this Covid episode.

An aside: sept 17th. Man U vs Liverpool. My wife is from Manchester And neighbour from Liverpool. Even our snowman wears a Man U scarf. My wife has to wear a Liverpool jersey if Man U loses. Neighbour has to put a Man U banner in his window.
