it is exactly like the ultimate but also has a razor type edge to actually cut away part of the tip? any and all help appreciated. Looking for a friend and he said when he last bought one about 5 years back they were 30-50 bucks he thinks

no. I saw one somewhere on here i believe taht sold used for like 45 bucks a few weeks back and I told him about it. It was a link to another website. I thought it said Ultimate gambler tip tool but i could not find anything on it from google or here

John, be very careful with any tip tool...especially one that "cuts" the tip in any fashion. 75% of my tip replacements are from those who've screwed up their tips. If your tip is in that bad of shape...then send it to me & I'll make it look like new...no charge. Thats a service I offer to all my customers. :)

Two thoughts:

If you are talking about taking a brand new tip and reducing its size to match the ferrule, let the tip replacement pro do it for you. He has the equiptment to do it fast and right.

If you are talking about trimming a tip that has mushroomed, a nail file works well.

mastercue supertool, i bought the one you saw i believe

thats the one

When i said i had a friend..........I really have a friend that wants it. I will be shooting you a PM about turning down my shaft I have now and replacing the tip. Could you PM me your phone # bc it would be a few long emails.

This is a kind offer, and I do agree with KV on this one. I happen to own one of these original MasterCue tip tools. While they are very nice, the cutting edge is such that if you are not extremely careful, and use a very light touch, not only will you shave off that annoying little mushroom, but you will leave a score line in your ferrule, that will fill with chalk, giving you a racing stripe around the ferrule. For those with expensive ferrules, or ferrules made of material that is no longer available, I would suggest having a qualified cue maker/repair person take care of it for you.
