TS on craigslist

What an idiot kid. You can't feel bad about taking advantage of a moron. His dad would be totally ashamed of him. If I was alive and my kid did that, I'd have some words for him.

I don't think it is fair to call the kid and idiot. Did he get rid of the cue for too cheap? Of course. He needed money and needed it quick. Maybe he knew he was giving someone a great deal. Maybe his dad bought the cue for $200 and he just wanted to get what his dad paid. You never know.

He probably did not research at all, but I would not call him a moron for that. Maybe he was buying a $600 amp for $200. In that case, he came out of the deal ok!:wink:
 
I don't buy it. I've seen too many people and many pawn shops sell high-end custom cues for nothing because they were too lazy to do a little research.

I would have found some other way to buy an amp before I sold something that was worth a lot more. Heck, most music stores will finance equipment and the payments are pretty reasonable. I know, I financed a guitar once.

Maybe he isn't an idiot and a moron overall. But he did make a dumb move. I wonder what he sold the blackboar for.
 
It comes down to being informed. Obviously the kid wasn't, otherwise he would have sold it for much more.

Funny!! I just had this conversation with my wife the other day about when my boys get my cues will they just up and dump them for cash. I hope my boys are better then that! I agree with Ross though could be more to story, maybe amp he's picking up for $200.00 is worth a lot more and people on that end are saying what an idiot to that person for selling the amp to cheap. Who knows but great find enjoy!!
 
If he is a kid $200 plays much bigger and who knows he prob got the amp from another kid for a steal too...money by dollar amount doesnt give any idea of the value you get. Would you be an idiot for selling a Scruggs for $500 if you could take that $500 and get something a lot better...no you wouldnt. It was scrap wood to the kid, who clearly liked the predator a bit more, when something is worth nothing to you and you make any money off it you feel like a winner.

Funny I was just talking with a friend in AZ who has one of the few DPK (Big fish little fish)cues. He told me he hopes he gets around to selling it before he dies, cuz he would hate for his son to get it. :)
