Jerry.....It's great and personally very satisfying to read your opinion about the Owen cue.

Dean steered me towards getting a cue from Bob 2 years ago and I dragged my feet a little but eventually got one. I was blown away
becuz it played better than my Scruggs cue, my Mottey cue that was recently traded, and it competes head to head with my Prewitt cue.

I don't know about how others out there feel about Bob's cue-making, especially if they've never owned or played much with one of Bob's
flat ivory joint cues. Based upon my comparison of the aforementioned cue-makers with my Owen cue, Bob's cue-making is tremendously
under-rated which I'm sure you will agree with. All I can say is a lot of Azers are missing out by not playing with a Bob Owen pool cue.

Jimmy, I've got several for you to try out and vice versa...haha.
You can put a few dings in these players and hardly a word
would be said, but God forbid I put the smallest of scratches on
those big, bad cues you've got...lol, but I'm almost scared to
play with them.

Greg, great exchanging PM's with you and gaining your
valuable input on customs. And like I mentioned this morning,
I can't believe how good this Tucker plays. I played 2 hours
this morning when I got off work with the Tucker and it was
2 hours of near flawless pool. It was hard to put it down, but
I had to go to bed and get ready for another night shift.

Matt, I do think the hit, balance, and feel of the Owen cue is
on par with any and all cues that I own, have owned, or played
with. The only tweaking this cue needs is a simple tip change.
It performs great now and will be even better with my tip of
choice IMO. There is great value for a buyer seeking a custom
cue if he chooses someone like Bob Owen. It seams to reason
that if a cue plays as good as cues costing 10 times as much,
someone can get into a great playing cue for a really good
price. Do I think they should bring more money? Yes I do.
