Tournament at Cues and Brews live on Ustream now. Our own Black Ball is there and says he's gonna be snapping it off. I wished him luck last night but I think he is gonna have a bit harder of a time than the tourney last week lol. Lots of good players a lot of you probably know, including Mike Davis amongst others.

Ps - Shaun Wilkie is there and I heard he is walking around asking for everyone's pee. They just said " son, you do know you're in Glen Burnie right??? " ☺
 
Just back from the tourney, it's still going strong and will go into tomorrow . 62 players, many high quality. It's being tan great, and a great venue. Our boy Black is doing great, he crushed Mike Davis lol. Go Black!!!

Ya Mike hates BBs so it's no surprise with his piston stroke he needs some table time to get use to playing on them ,, he can and has played well on them in the past but this was on short notice ,

Well this turned out to be a great first big event for my new "home" room. It was run great, very nice venue, lots of great folks and plenty of pool for all. 62 people ended up playing. A LOT OF SHOOTERS! Saw many people havnt in years since our other pool rooms closed so that is awesome! Great food and great bar, great; very very nice and hot servers and bartenders BTW lol, all diamond tables ( for those of you that like them lol, a great atmosphere in a great location. So one of our own hometown heroes ! R Tony Long split with Shaun Wilkie. ( no drug tests performed lolol). 3rd was a Matt Shilinski, and Mike Davis took FOURTH!

This seems to be a place with great potential. For any of the locals that still don't know ( doubtful many if any at all ) but they are located where the EPIC club Rumble fish used to be back in the day. ( no RF stories please lol ). The folks with this room have done it right, for once, and have top notch people running it and I see nothing but great things in the future.

Couple side notes: Steve, I'm not exactly sure if you were officially running it but I do KNOW you had your hand on it the whole way - AWESOME JOB BRO! Couldn't have been better run from what I saw.

My ONLY gripe is this, well two honestly, it may not have been advertised as best as possible. It's Def my fault but I didn't find out about it till 11 pm thanksgiving. Yes, I should come in more lol. None the less. Thats not really what I was getting at, my understanding was yall were gonna take all comers up till cut off. Then at some point day off it was decided at 64. U got 62 and that's awesome! But what if..... Then I was there and EVERYONE was saying they were gonna do a final - whatever the next day and I left and it turned out well we will lock the doors Yada Yada yada. Really doesn't matter to me but it might to some. But congrats on an awesome event! FOR SURE the best one we've seen in this area for........ well damn

I'm pretty sure all 4 at the top would pass a piss test lol . All of them are fine fine men I'm better for knowing them , Steve is top class also he's run many events including state championships , and the best Tuesday night Tuney for yrs, , cudos to Tony Manning also great guy also he keeps getting this kind of fields expanding upstairs will be a no brainer
If and when they do that it will easily make it the best room bar none in Maryland

Agreed, from what I heard the other night is upstairs may not be happening now. Looking at expanding laterally on the ground floor. Guess we will see.
 
I was just talking to Huey a few days ago, asking where the pool rooms were in Maryland. He said something about a place called 999.

I have never "Cues and Brews." Where is it? Inquiring minds may want to know. :grin-square:
 
On a Google search, there is a place called Brews and Cues in Glen Burnie. It has pool tables, but looks more like a bar than a pool room. Is that it?

999's is on route 1 in Elkridge, B&C is in Glen Burnie where Big Daddy's used to be if you knew that place. It is a bar but it has a lot of players starting to hang in there. They currently have 7 Diamond BB, with plans to add 7 or more Diamond full sizes. Yale should check it out.
