Turning down shaft

I have a customer who requested I turn down this shaft....to 11mm. Which I was willing to do. Until I saw the brand. "VIKORE" Can it even be turned down? Seems it has some sort of core.

Your gonna run into trouble and more importantly, why does your customer feel he or she needs a 11mm shaft? 11.75mm is crazy thin as it is.

When I am in doubt about this type of request, I always try to contact the manufacturer first. They know all the details needed for such a decision.

What size is it now? Too much work if it's anywhere near 13mm...I pass
