Marlon Manalo - Turning Stone Classic VIII
Filipino cue master Marlon Manalo has joined the list of confirmed players competing in this February's Turning Stone Classic VIII event.., Not so long ago, many of us here in the USA would have asked who??, when faced with the name Marlon Manalo.., but he showed up on the west coast in 2005 and won the Reno Open and the Hard Times Jamboree 9-ball event, then he jumped over to the east coast and won the New Jersey Straight Pool Championship, the Joss Ultimate Billiard Club Event and the $100,000 winner-take-all Texas Hold 'Em Billiards Championship.., Most recently, Marlon placed runner-up to Thorsten Hohman by the slimmest of margins, 8-7, at 2006 IPT North American Open 8-Ball Championship winning a whopping $99,000.
