Marlon Manalo - Turning Stone Classic VIII

Filipino cue master Marlon Manalo has joined the list of confirmed players competing in this February's Turning Stone Classic VIII event.., Not so long ago, many of us here in the USA would have asked who??, when faced with the name Marlon Manalo.., but he showed up on the west coast in 2005 and won the Reno Open and the Hard Times Jamboree 9-ball event, then he jumped over to the east coast and won the New Jersey Straight Pool Championship, the Joss Ultimate Billiard Club Event and the $100,000 winner-take-all Texas Hold 'Em Billiards Championship.., Most recently, Marlon placed runner-up to Thorsten Hohman by the slimmest of margins, 8-7, at 2006 IPT North American Open 8-Ball Championship winning a whopping $99,000.

Gandy Valle - Turning Stone Classic VIII

Filipino gold medallist Gandy Valle has joined the list of confirmed players competing in February's Turning Stone Classic VIII event.., This San Miguel Asian 9-Ball Tour star brought a Gold Medal back to the Philippines when he won the doubles competition at the Asian Games held in Bangkok, Thailand.., Gandy Valle is a 2005 Singapore Asian 9-Ball champion and most recently was runner-up to Alex Pagulayan at the 2006 BSCP Philippine National Championship and runner-up to Dennis Orcollo at the 2006 Hard Times Summer Jamboree 9-Ball event.., Gandy Valle is associated with the Bugsy Promotions group owned by Filipino businessman and pool patron Ceferino "Perry" Mariano.

Antonio Gabica - Turning Stone Classic VIII

Filipino cueist Antonio Gabica has joined the list of confirmed players competing in February's Turning Stone Classic VIII event.., Gabica placed 3rd at the 2005 All Filipino Billiards Open then went on to win a Gold Medal at the 2005 Southeast Asian Games 8-Ball doubles competition held in Manila while partnered with fellow Filipino Lee Van Corteza .., Most recently, Antonio carried the country's tri-colored flag at the 2006 Doha Asian Games held in Doha, Qatar and secured a Gold Medal for the Philippine’s by winning the 9-ball finals against fellow Filipino Jeffrey De Luna.., Gabica also added a Silver Medal when he placed second in the 8-ball competition at Doha.., Antonio Gabica is associated with the Bugsy Promotions group owned by Filipino businessman and pool patron Ceferino "Perry" Mariano.

I will be attending on Sunday only. I was wondering if anyone knew of an approximate time that the matches start for the final day?

Also, approximately what time does the final match start?

Play Schedule:

All rounds will be in 2-hour increments and all match times posted.

Thursday, February 22, 4 p.m., 6, 8 & 10.
Friday, February 23, 10 a.m., 12, 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10 p.m.
Saturday, February 24, 10 a.m. 12, 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10 p.m.
Sunday, February 25, 11 a.m., 1, 3, 5 & 7 p.m. (finals)

Shawn Putnam - Turning Stone Classic VIII

Youngstown, Ohio's Shawn Putnam has joined the list of confirmed players competing in February's Turning Stone Classic VIII event.., Shawn placed third behind Santos Sambajon and Johnny Archer at the Turning Stone Classic VII event held last August of 2006.., In 2005, Shawn was ranked #1 on the UPA Tour when he logged back-to-back wins at the North American Open in Pittsburgh and the UPA Pro Players Championship in Valley Forge.., Shawn was a 2005 USA Mosconi Cup team member and a a six-time consecutive Viking Tour Player of the Year.

Stevie Moore - Turning Stone classic VIII

Derby City Bank Pool Champion Stevie Moore has joined the list of confirmed players competing in February's Turning Stone Classic VIII event.., Stevie won the Derby City Classic Bank Pool competition held in January of 2007 and was runner-up to Dennis Hatch in last November's 2006 Viking Cue Tour National Championship.., In 2005, Stevie won the Viking Tour's Southern Classic Open and he is a former World Bar Table Champion.

Jose Parica - Turning Stone Classic VIII

Filipino pool legend Jose Parica has joined the list of confirmed players competing in February's Turning Stone Classic VIII event.., This Philippine Hall of Famer, dubbed "The Leader of the Philippine Invasion," which changed the face of the American 9-ball forever, is one of the greatest ever to play the game, especially for the cold hard cash.., Jose Parica is a former World Player of the Year and was the first player to shoot a perfect game of 1,000 points, which was a World Record in 9-Ball race to 11 format.., With a list of career accomplishments too numerous to mention, no one will argue that Jose Parica is still a world-class talent and a threat to win any event he enters.

If I remember correct, Shawn fought back from an early loss...at last years event..he played VERY tough..

Good to see Jose returning to TS this time..

Battle-hardened Filipino pool star Rodolfo Luat has joined the list of confirmed players competing in February's Turning Stone Classic VIII event.., This high-ranking player of Team Philippines turned professional over 30 yeas ago and holds many titles including the Philippine Nine-ball Open and the Camel World 9-Ball Open.., Most recently, Rodolfo Luat won the Taiwan leg of the 2006 San Miguel Asian 9-ball Tour, was runner-up to John Schmidt at the 2006 US Open 9-ball Championships, was runner-up to Niels Feijen at the 2006 Derby City 9-ball Championship and was a quarter-finalists in the 2006 Philippines World Pool Championship.., Rodolfo Luat is associated with the Puyat Sports group headed by Philippine billiards patron Aristeo “Putch” Puyat.

Tony Crosby - Turning Stone Classic VIII

Florida based former Englishman Tony Crosby has joined the list of confirmed players competing in February's Turning Stone Classic VIII event.., Tony placed 9th at the Turning Stone Classic VII event held last August.., Most recently, Crosby eliminated Mike Sigel at 2006 UPA US Pro Tour Championship held last March and pulled off a thrilling upset over Efren Reyes at the 2006 Philippines World Pool Championship held in Manilla.., Tony is a former UPA Rookie of the Year.

Last time I heard Ralf said he will not be attending due to a Tournament in...I think it was .... Czech Republic somewhere.
 
Allen Hopkins - Turning Stone Classic VIII

Former World Champion Allen Hopkins has joined the list of confirmed players competing in February's Turning Stone Classic VIII event.., Allen is two time US Open 9-Ball Champion, is a former winner of the $50,000 Challenge of Champions and has earned numerous world titlles in Straight Pool, Eight Ball and Nine Ball.., For the last thirty years, Hopkins has been a commentator on ESPN and remains an active player with world-class talent.., He is the founder of the Super Billiards Expo and Allen Hopkins Productions.
