The Turning Stone Classic XLI kicks off today at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, NY. The field of 128 players is stuffed with the top regional players and a smattering of pro players competing for their share of nearly $50,000 in prize money. Notable names in the event include Jayson Shaw, Moritz Neuhausen, John Morra, Jesus Atencio, Donny Mills, Jeremy Sossei, Danny Hewitt, Christoph Neumayer, Frankie Hernandez, Bucky Souvanthong and Matt Krah. Moritz for the win! Nice to see my man, Frankie Hernandez, in the mix. Since his retirement, he's enjoying pool again recreationally by attending these tournaments. How about that Danny Hewitt?! He's still got it. Donnie Mills shines at Turning Stone events, but he'll have his hands full with John Morra today. Must be nice to be Jayson Shaw. He's had a cream-puff draw so far.
