Does anybody know if there will be an event at the turning Stone in February? My wife and I had such an amazing time at the past one we are looking forward to going and taking freinds. I also promissed the wife we would stay at the casino and see a show (if possible).

If nobody has heard of one yet how would we get another one there? Would emailing Mike and the casino help?

All i can tell you is that i had heard the same thing and that they would hold it back in the original banquet hall. sending emails to mike or the casino i don't believe would do any good at this point as i feel that it is definately to soon. lets give the casino a couple of months to digest this 1 first.......mike

"The original banquet hall" was that a better location then where they had the last event?

Sure, Mike. This is the ballroom at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino that the tournament occured in on the Joss Tour earlier this year, a $15,000-added event in February I believe. I cannot remember the name of the room. I believe it was Mohegan Room, but I may be wrong.

I hope it's in the room where they held the finale.
You can't do better than that from a spectators point of view.

I do, too. When the Joss Tour had the $15,000-added tournament there in February, I was in heaven, but the Exhibition Hall was incredible!

Here's a shot I took of the players' meeting in progress. You can see Mike Zuglan in the middle, but, of course, when I snapped the picture, he had has back to me, unfortunately. However, you can see the ample space right in the middle, and check out the FREE bottled water to all attendees. I had never seen that before, and the players really appreciated it.

During the week, I happened to meet a man in a suit and engaged in a conversation about the Turning Stone and its history. I found out after the fact that he was a "host." When I told him how great this venue was, he had suggested that I could fill out something called a "comment card." I immediately picked up about 35 of them downstairs and went to some of the players and spectators and asked them if they would fill them out. Johnny Archer didn't hesitate to fill his out, and neither did anyone else, to include Joe Tucker, Ray Macnamara, Keith, JAM, Kim Davenport, et cetera. I hope the filled-out comment cards I dropped off in the lobby will let the Turning Stone Resort and Casino folks know how much we all appreciated the Joss Tour Season Finale.

BTW, Koop, I'm on Day Four of my smoking withdrawl, one cigarette every 2 hours until October 1st when I will go cold turkey.

Good luck quitting JAM. Best thing I ever did. I unfortunately don't get to spend nearly as much time at the pool room as I'd like (damn those bills & rent) so I told myself I would only smoke at the pool room and thats what I've been doing for the past year. I have 2 or 3 each time I go in so it's ussually 3/4 of a pack a week. Believe me when I tell you that in a week or two after stopping you will feel great. Only bad part is food will taste sooo much better. take care and thanks again for all your updates last week.

Way to go JAM!
In all honesty I have been doing great but this weekend I kind of fell off the wagon. Damn kids birthday parties :D
Just have to jump back on.
