I like the spirit of this but at some point actions must speak louder than words. He doesn't need an hour long rambling session to get a second chance from most of us. All he has to do is admit he wronged Oscar and then pay the man. Sounds like he still hasn't sent Oscar a penny. Just words. Quite frankly, his rambling came across as narcissistic as he completely ignored the match he was in the booth to discuss. Like maybe mention a good shot here and there as you're discussing your life's troubles.

I've always rooted for the guy but he sure makes it hard to do.
 
Well said. I didn't hear the Oscar part, I'll try to go back and listen when I have a chance. He definitely should make right with Oscar and that would probably release more of his pent up angst.

While not a JS fan that is still pretty harsh. He's not a thug. I think a better word would be 'DOUCHEBAG' and i'll tell you why. Back when he played the challenge match at Bill's in MidwestCity his wife/gf/ol lady SUPPOSEDLY got poisoned/mickey-finn'd. After the smoke cleared and nothing of the sort happened NO ONE, including JAM, issued one iota of an apology. In fact she was one of the first to jump on the 'Let's Bumkick Bill's Billiards' bandwagon based on NOTHING but hearsay. I have ZERO time for anything she says. Keep her at the top of the PERMA-IGNORE list. She likes slinging shit and then playing the poor lil victim card when things go sideways. Her and shaw are a perfect match.

I understand why the pool community is upset about him stiffing Oscar. I'd be furious if it were me and mine that that happened to. But the cyberbullying going on Facebook with long threads mocking Johnny and posting cruel words is hard to read, at least for me.

At 6:55:30 he says he's going to make things right with Oscar and will do whatever it takes to make things right.

I hope he does. Sounds promising at least. He also said he plans to make the Mosconi Cup Team as well. We shall see...

no chance of that. i think it's more of a goal, and it's good to have a goal if you're kicking a drug/drink habit. he lost weight too
