I'm going to be in Tuscon this upcoming weekend. I'm probably going to get there on Saturday or sunday. I love to match up with whatever money I will have. I don't want to get runover but I know if someone sets me up with a game than I will be underdog anyway, but I don't mind. I'll lose about 60-80 playing 20 dollar sets just so I can get some playing time in before Junior nationals. I really can't play a lick but I'll try out almost anyone with the right spot. No shortstops or A+ players. Just the regulars that play in the pool hall. I would like to know if any of you could help me find a nice pool hall to play in. I just want to get some practice time like i said before. Hopefully I'll be hitting them good before I get to play. I doubt I'll place or anything but It's my last year I can play in it and I've been playing on and off for about 2 yrs now. Hopefully I can at least give someone a tough game. Well Help me out Azer's. Who wants to take me under their wing? :D And who's going to stake my action;) hmmm, no one huh.....ugh. :( Well at least I'll get to lose my own money this time. :p Arizona boys and girls......where are you at?

When I was in Tucson last year for 6 weeks, I found that Main Street Billiards was the best place in town to play. Before 7PM on weekdays, you can play pool for $1/hour and after 7PM you can play in daily 9-ball tournaments during the weekdays for $5. Draft beers cost a buck. :)

Tuson Action

I was in Tucon not to long ago, and we found action at Clicks on 1st Ave. and Main Street Billiards on E. Broadway. Ask for a guy named Angel for 1 pkt, and Justin for 9 ball action. Beatle.........

I've played a lot in Tuscon. Main Street Billiards and Clicks are the only places for cheap action. Let me say that all the players in Tuscon didn't show any heart or any gamble. Lot of older guys that liked to sit on the side and talk shit but never stepped up. You know, talking about "I'll play you a set for $20,000" just being lame. There was one guy, "Mississippi" they called him but I heard he got banned from all the pool halls cause he was welching on bets.

How about the college pool room?

Mystick...There's also liable to be a few good college players in the campus pool room, where you're going to compete (I suspect you're staying somewhere very close to campus). It's a nice gameroom. I've played in there several times. I'd get some time on those tables before the tournament, if I were you! :D Good luck at the tournament!

I'm going to be staying on Base. It's incredibly cheap for me and will be about 20 min away from the univ. But I love to play and I'll be sure to get in action somewhere before I go. I'm a youngin so I doubt anyone will be scared. :p I can run 4 balls at most. So I guess I'll just have to see who I can beat. I'm not that dumb of a player though. I'll probably walk in without my cue and bang balls around. And just wait for the vultures to ask me to play. If I go in there woofing for action I might get bit by the big dog. So I'll just sit by and watch for a while. Let them all come to me. Thanks for the advice. I'll look those places up.
