I hope so too, but mine worked just fine, then the next day when I opened it I keep getting a 'sopcast.ocx' file error which won't go away. I redownloaded, installed, and it still says the same error, and closes it out.
That file could be corrupted, overwritten by other program (remember, tvu
program was forked from sopcast

), or probably just a component error
(usually happening on audio/video softwares conflicting on sound devices,
codecs, and such. poor coding). We will never know.
I'm not on Windows but here are some suggestions:
You might try to remove (purge) all files related to Sopcast.
Uninstalling programs in Windows won't be sufficient in most cases. It just
leave a lot of debris files scattered all over the system. Some installers won't
even prompt for an overwrite, so you could have been using that same old
OCX file no matter how many times you reinstall it.
Take note of the sopcast.exe's modification date/time then use Window's Find
to locate all the other components related to that program, that is, they have
the same modified date/time as the main executable program 'sopcast.exe'
But I would not recommend this, you could mistakenly remove other files,
and even system data.
You might also look for some user profiles that most programs would create
for a particular user, if there are any. Usually found in c:\my documents
Run a registry cleaner(twice, thrice, just to be sure), then reboot the machine.
Install the player again and see how it goes.
