'Twas the Night Before Christmas

Back in 2006, we started a thread for AzB-ers to share their own versions of "Twas the Night Before Christmas." It was hilarious. Some of them, you would have had to have been a member in 2006 to understand the humor.

Here's mine:

'Twas the night before Christmas,
I was met with boredom

So I soon found my way
and logged in on this forum.

I was hoping to read ‘bout an upcoming tourney,
But no one was posting, not even Bernie.

I steadied my hand to click on the mouse,
But what happened next shook up the whole house.

Now comes your turn, to continue in my stead.
Make this a jolly AzBilliards Christmas thread!

Here is the one from the late Smorgass Bored (Smorgie):

Put JD in my coffee,
To clear up my cough.
And, while playing online,
I took my clothes off.

I got up at the break,
And quick as a bat,
I ran for the john,
But tripped over the cat.

Now that I've fallen,
And I can't get up,
My screen keeps on flashing,
that I have Aces Up.

Call EMS,
As fast as you can,
Because Ultimate Bet,
Will fold my damn hand.

I lost all my money,
And I just threw up,
Before calling for help,
PLEASE cover me up.

I'm all fat and naked,
I look quite a sight,
Merry Christmas to all,
And to all a good night.....

And here is the one from sjm:

Tis the night before Christmas and all through the forum,
many posters are posting, oh how I adore 'em

On a night I am meant to think of the needy,
I'm far too fixated on a post made by Eydie

Tims, Linda, JAM -- they are posting away,
Spreading wisdom in their inimitable way

Just as always, I'm looking for a pool game,
Hal, Tate and Colin, are you thinkin' the same?

Roscoe and Snapshot, what are you up to?
Bruin and Koop, are you busy, too?

Willibetmore, Purdman, and Craig "TheOne" Riley,
Give me a game and I'll think of you highly

Well, maybe I'll take a night off from pool,
As one would expect of a clueless fool

Using Christmas as an excuse may seem alright,
Yet I'll bet Efren shoots pool tonight.

So I'll bask in the glow of the holiday season,
Hoping others like me will follow my reason.

I'm not quite a poet, I cannot deny,
As these random verses hardly belie.

Anybody care to share their version?
