Today I shipped the two winners their cases. I sent them second day UPS so they will get them on Wednesday. I hope they like them. It was fun doing the whole drawing.

Thanks,
Jim

me too ...

Yes, Jim, the drawing was a ball until you announced the winners ... lol

I am anxiously awaiting reviews on the cases too, so I can
'eat my heart out' a little more ....

What colors did they get? and both were 2 x 4's, weren't they?

Yes they were both 2x4's. One was black and one was black cherry. They are at the bottom of the page in the link.

Hope they don't mind me showing them before they get them.

Me too! I ordered one about a week before the drawing. Hopefully mine is on its way too! I have a 3x6 coming with black/red/black fade and special configuration on the pockets.
I will give a full review as soon as I can. I also have a Justis that I can compare my new case with. Waiting for the mailman!!!!!!

I'm still just floored.

Such generousity, just reaching out and making a huge bright spot on the life of someone he's never met.

Kindness I will never forget.

Yes, I plan on giving him much, much accolades.

Jim, it looks beautiful!

Thanks so much!

Mine was ordered about a week ago. :D

Not a minute sooner than I posted the previous message, the UPS guy came.

The pictures don't give you the feel for the amount of detail the stitching has.
The hardware and zippers are first rate and all work very smoothly.
Very sturdy brass rivets for the handles and zipper fobs.

It has a very nice sense of balance. With one finger, it balances perfectly on a horizontal plane and feels very comfortable when held by the top handle.

Double shoulder straps with nice pads and the same attention to detail mentioned in the other areas.

Storage is very interesting, there are 6 zippered compartments and they seem to overlap each other, making the volume much greater than the picture would make you think.

It has a very nice finish in Black and contrasts the brass hardware beautifully. Topped off with my initials carved in his "vintage" font and signed by Jim Murnak.

I will be sure to let everyone know more once I've had a chance to use it some.

My very first impressions are that this case and Jim Murnak will be around and well respected as a first class act for a very long time!

Thanks again!!

Thanks Dave. How did it get there so fast? I'm very happy that you like it.

Joe ... What was the special configuration on the pockets you ordered?
And I will be interested in your comparison to a Justis case.

Scott,

I had the pockets altered so that I could fit my Tony Ryan Cue Extender fit in one of the pockets. I never carry it with me because it does not fit in my current case (Justis). I could have had Jack Justis do the same thing if I had ordered it that way, it was too much trouble once the case was finished. The Justis case is incredible but heavy. They are very different styles so it will be hard to compare.
The Justis was worth every penny. Very classy and Jack was great to deal with as well. Jim has been very good thus far as well. He said that my case will take a bit longer due to the special config. I will post pics and a review as soon as I get it.

Hey Joe,

Sounds similar to my Whitten. I had it made special to hold my Cue Reach extensions. I loved that case, but I honestly could barely lift it with it fully populated and it was only a 2x3. My new extensions for my Schon allowed me to go to a much lighter Porper case. I love the fact I have 2 12 inches extensions as opposed to one 18 inch extension that is 24 inches long. I get six more inches of reach for the less storage amount. My buddy in England really enjoys my Whitten now, and I am happy as well.

Maybe a good solution for me is to ask Porper to make me something out of a high grade leather but have it lightweight like his normal cases? He makes a high grade leather case already doesn't he? Hmmmmmm
