The semifinals are complete and neither Torbjorn Blomdahl nor Raymond Ceulemans will be in the A Final. Michael Kang beat Raymond in the one-hole, and Blomdahl lost his last game (to Choi, I believe) and will be in the B Final despite his 1.927 average.

The other three seeded players advanced without a loss: Sayginer (1.725), Sanchez (1.828), and Caudron (1.842). I'll pick Sanchez to win it all.

I'll pick Frederic, he's been playing quite well too.

I guess I picked the right guy! Frederic won the tournament (for the second year in a row). Averaging above 1.800 for the entire tournament. Sanchez took second and Sayginer third.

I thought he would take it. No losses, either.
I like the way he plays. He never seems to get the attention that some of the other players like Blomdahl, Sanchez or Sayginer get.

Is it just me or is Caudron almost unrecognizable from a few years back?

Well.... aside from playing 3-cushion alot better (not to mention the small games of Free Game, Balkline, & Cushion Caroms), the weight loss, no glasses, more facial hair... yup, still the same Fr?d?ric! :cool:

ha, yeah, that's what I meant, personal-appearance-wise. His play is the same, but better. I was watching that old accu-stats tape today where he played the exhibition balkline game at SL, and it just struck me, totally different guy. Must've met a girl, got a makeover or something.:)

anyway, stupid thing to bring up, love to see them do another straight/balkline/caroms exhibition at the tourney. I'd buy it. You only get players like that in one place one time a year.
