U. S. Open 8 Ball

SVB with a good weekend obviously.

With these 2 wins, it looks like he has won the

2018 US Open One Pocket Championship
2018 US Open Banks Championship
2018 US Open 10 ball Championship
2018 US Open 8 ball Championship

Has anybody done that before ?

Will they figure out a way to get him on the Mosconi Cup team despite not doing their bootcamps ?

Johann was at the events this week. It must be tough for him to witness that and then say “he’s not doing my boot camps so he can’t be on the team.”

so Kiamco went to the hill twice vs SVB and lost...ouch.

I was at the 8 ball and when Kiamco saw he was going to play Shane he jokingly said to the tournament director
: “can I play somebody else? He just put me out of the 10 ball”. It was quite funny. I didn’t stay for his match against Shane- I saw that he lost 8-7 but I don’t know what happened in the hill-hill game.

Not to mention with SVB rubbing it in with wearing his garish America jerseys, LOL.

Johann who? LOL

Jay, I’m a big fan of you and your work, but I disagree with your defense of Dennis’ typical handshake when he loses. I’m also sensitive to differences in cultural norms since my parents were both immigrants. However, Dennis has spent enough time in the U.S. to know that in this country you show a man respect by firmly shaking his hand, looking him in the eye and congratulating him. When in Rome do as the Romans. If the tournament was in the Philippines perhaps your argument would have more validity.

In case anyone cares, Dennis was in good, friendly form all week. And he high fived Shane after their match.

Kinda feel bad for Alex..... I think he advanced to the Hot seat in both 10 and 8 ball... and Shane comes out of the loser side to win both times. Just a single match though.... didn't have to win twice.

But, congrats to Alex as well.... the guy played outstanding all week. Made a nice paycheck for himself this week as well.

Alex can give it...and he can take it.
....he had everybody laughing as he was getting drilled by Shane...including Shane.

I suspect there’s a pattern here when Alex wins an A-side and has a long wait...
....I suppose he gets in action and maybe gets a bit burned out....
..both finals, he broke dry a lot..nobody beats Shane breaking dry

Prior to the finals, Shane played three matches on the TV table - Oscar, Dennis, and Thorsten, practicing on it non-stop between each. Alex got to Griff’s about 10 min. before the final started, took pictures with people, and then started playing. I don’t think he hit one practice ball.

So that’s now 15 overall US open titles! What lunacy keeps him off the MC!

For some unknown reason, Shane has been unable to perform at anywhere near his real level in the MC. In fact it seems to get worse every year, last year being the worst yet. He may need a year off to regroup and come back fresh with a new outlook on the event.

Alex beat the 15 ball ghost on both Griffs tough tables last year without warning up. Ask me how I know :) it was nice giving him a little $$$ after winning a bunch of $$$ betting AGAINST him on PPV matches lol

I hear you Jay, but, the worm has to turn sooner or later, he is beyond due for a good showing, percentages man... lol.
I’ll tell you this, he’s on my team, no questions asked.

What I don’t like about it....and many Canucks cheer for our neighbors....
....is Shane not playing takes away the fear factor...
....’cause I feel that taking away the THREAT of Shane showing and playing like he’s
Number One in the world makes the other side pretty comfortable.
