According to Barry ( during his interview yesterday) he bumped entry fee so he could pay deeper. I believe he said he's paying all the way out to 38-40 = 2k

33-48 pays $2,000, so that's close to break even for a player who shares a room and travels domestically (two wins on the winners side and you're in the money!). He sent me the prospective payouts a couple of months ago and I concurred on them. It's a very attractive prize money breakdown this year that I think you can find on the U.S. Open website.

I think payouts are very fair this year....the cold blooded killers from overseas will most likely get into the money.....this is why I think it was easy decision for them to play this event
