I've been using NIR chalk for a long time now, along with Blue Diamond depending on what I grab first out of my case. Well, I've switched back to Master chalk.

NIR and/or Blue Diamond managed to stain my ferrule (whatever is stock on an OB Classic Pro). I chalk properly, I wipe down my shaft almost every time I chalk, and I will run Q-Smooth papers over it once in a while. I stopped using the NIR and Blue Diamond after I noticed the first stain (pictured). Ever since then, it has actually faded. I've only been using master chalk, and I feel like I haven't miscued any more/less. That might be due to my stroke improving, but that's irrelevant. I'll keep it in my case as emergency chalk but that's it.

Thats kind of a minor stain. An alcohol pad will not remove it? I use Masters myself & never had a miscue. Silver Cup works good too but, is messy compared to Masters Chaulk.

This was after it had faded quite a bit. It's minor, but I notice it. I only had the shaft for a few days before I got this stain, and it's been about a month and a half or two since I got the shaft. I'm pretty sure it was the NIR that caused the stain. That stuff is very blue.

You never miscue? Wow I am impressed! I do a few thing well in pool and one of them is rolling whitey with my ferrule .
