This is a huge tournament. We are lucky to have Badi and company still making plans to continue this great event.

indeed it is great news! I'm surprised too that nobody else has replied to this thread, this is my first time seeing it.
 
Despite the front page press release promising to come back in 2013, I think alot of people (including myself) are just skeptical. I'm just tired of hearing bad news for pool. When's the next TAR podcast:)

Hopefully the tournament will be back and better than ever with spectator seating this time. :thumbup:
 
Badi says that he will be retired once more by 2013 and will take up the reins of the Ultimate 10 Ball Championship once more.

That is a good thing for pool, regardless of where these events are held.

It is interesting to note that all top 6 finishers (male and female) are residing in America and will have airfare, hotel and entry fee paid for to attend the next UTC event. The three top-finishing ladies were Allison Fisher (1st), Kelly Fisher (2nd), and Angel Paglia (3rd). The top three males were Mike Dechaine (1st), Jeremy Jones (2nd) and Jason Klatt (3rd).
 
Badi is a great guy, and will stand by what he says. utbc will be even bigger and better in 2013.
 
I've worked with Badi on this event in several capacities and he doesn't like to to anything half way. I am confident the event will take place in 2013.
