Well, actually, none of the top players (or even me) played "oops, I missed, sorry for the lucky leave" shots. It was only the crafty old codgers (I was much younger then) who played such shots and they couldn't run out if you left them a shot anyway.Admit it though, you still played them but made them look like attempts.I played one of those leagues.
