Just ceases to amaze me what someone would do to burn unsuspecting buyer on eBay.

Sell a beginner production cue with one shaft on the Bay for $100. Buyer gets it adds a $35 shaft and immediately lists it as 'Vintage Estate Sale Find' for $650 after he sands off the Logo on Butt Cap.

Very brief no spec description full of BS and skates potential sellers question which he posts with ' I am no pool cue expert' but I have seen this seller flip 'Mystery Cues' for some time. Always no markings 4 pointers with nice veneers old school Balabushka style. He is purposely defrauding buyers.

What a scumbag...

Yeah, I feel the same way, but anyone foolish enough to buy it wasn't going to keep his money very long anyway. I call it "more money than brains."

Oops, I hope you weren't the buyer :-)

Give us a link to the ad please so we all can have a laugh. Thanks.

If you have been watching him, and this is his MO, just keep reporting his auctions as being Fraudulent.

Eventually EBay will catch on.

I typed in Vintage pool cues. Funny how some sellers use that word so loosely.

Whoa mon. I just found 2 Vintajio Vignaux style cues and a package of slip on tips. Please, Please, no one else bid on them.

Unfortunately, some also have a pretty warped sense of value on some of their items also.

Not half bad Meucci that all the plastic material was cracked to crap.

By the time that you have someone do a restore for you, you may as well buy a Balabushka.

Most people who sell on E-Bay are concerned with their FEEDBACK score and are careful in the description of what they are selling.
The buyer can call E-Bay (866-540-3229) and initiate a complaint against the seller for misrepresenting the cue he bought.

Here you go

I was not the buyer I listed the cue he bought it. Here is his auction # 221654150777 for the cue he bought from me for $100 offered as a 'unknown' after he sanded the J & J Logo off butt.

Here is my completed listing. # 161540238710 What a DB. I have no dog in this fight just thought it was so frikin' unscrupulous AND I have seen and looked at some of his 'Un known' cues in the past while surfing.

It ain't my first BBQ on the Bay...

Thanks Kat. I am sure that it isn't your first Rodeo either. But for something like that, one should be able to report it as fraudulent.

If you have been following this seller, does he ever sell any of his BS cues.

I don't know anything about pool cues, but it looks straight. Then you get it and you can shoot around a corner with it. You have no come back on that.

The seller was honest. In his opinion, it did look straight.

Well, some dummy is buying them. One would think that anyone who's willing to spend over $500 would do his homework. Flag it on ebay and see if they do anything about it...if they don't then ebay deems that it falls on the buyer.

I just contacted the seller, and commented that it looks like a J & J cue with the logo sanded off.

Will he reply?

Cue is been sold or pulled by seller

Doubt he got back. Noticed that the J & J is 'no longer available' which means you scared him he pulled it with your call out or....he sold it for $650 to unsuspecting buyer as a un known maker 'Vintage Estate sale find'. No return or refunds.

Sad part is that seller knows enough about cues to add a extra shaft like allot of higher end customs have. He very well could be a member here amongst us.

Crocked, dishonest and unscrupulous DB. Bad Karma will get him one day.

Take care,
-Kat

Wow now cues some guy got my gf not too long ago with some fake perfume 100 dollars for it she gets it box looks fake right off bat too me open up and u can just tell by smell lucky we got refund but just shows what these guys are getting by with he had great itrader too be aware if u shop on ebay at all

If there's a need for magic products, somebody will fill it. In the link above I say it's less dishonest than a rebadged/de-badged cue.

Ebay definitely doesn't care about accuracy in listings. I've reported many fraudulent listings, such as generic used balls being sold in an Aramith Super Pro box for $80+, and that listing stayed up until the end. At some point, somebody will buy that ball set.

I pretty much did the same, except sent him the original auction number that he bought.

Then I reported his auction as being Fraudulent.

I got "User ID is invalid" message at that link...

The positive feedback just means he ships what he advertises in the timeframe he promises, and that it looks like what he described and the buyers saw in the pics. Doesn't take into account that the recipients don't know they've been fleeced...

Agreed! :-)

What are the chances that there are early two piece cues left in the wild. Most were broken in the first couple of years.
