Unbelievable cue by BHQ

I'll start this post with a disclaimer: I am in no way attempting to pass myself off as a cue, or billiards, expert. With that said I feel I owe it to Brent to try and Review the cue I just received from him.
A little background on myself. I'm a middle aged (44 yrs old) guy coming back to this game after a 20 some odd year lay off necessitated by those aggravating details like raising kids & paying the mortgage. Since I have a little more money now than way back when, I?ve been trying out different cues trying to figure out what really works for me.
In the last 6months I've bought, sold & traded over 2 dozen cues both production & custom. A short list of the cues I've tried, (this list won't impress the people on this forum, and it's just a point of reference)

Cameron
Rauenzahn
Barnhart
Dominiak
Spitz
Schon and more....

The first thing I noticed was the finish, like glass. The next thing is the balance, it feels perfect. The hit is as close to perfect as I've experienced so far. I know it sounds funny but you can barely tell you've hit the cue ball.
I recently purchased a couple of Barnhart's which more than one reputable member of this forum have said hit similar to a Southwest, this BHQ hits like the Barnhart's but better!
I was really ready to not like this cue when it arrived, it is 3/4 oz heavier than I like and the shaft is 12.75, a little thinner than I like. After a couple of weeks with this cue it is my only player.

The quality of this cue is beyond question & the price is ridicules. Anyone who has been thinking about a BHQ should get on the ball and order now before Brent realizes how much he should charge for his cues.
Also, Brent is the best cue maker for communicating with he answered all my questions right away and kept me up to date every step of the way.

That's really interesting, and it parallels my recent experiences. No one can really answer my question, but since I know that Brent has used many old cues and many new ones as a base for his customs, I wonder what was the basis for that great hit? The woods would be different on most of the cues. It must lie in his taper, joint pin, ferrules etc. In any event I'm glad that you found your favorite player. That's always a cause for celebration ! Glad you are happy with your cue. But personally, part of having that "perfect hit" is knowing when I hit the CB and the feel/feedback the cue transcends to my arm and senses. Just more proof that the "Perfect Hit" is relative to each individual player.

Where are the pics?

BTW, IF you still have your Olney what do you want for it?

if I'm reading that correctly, than your cue is as far from perfect as you can get

With hit and feel being personal and subjective it is always hard to describe.with all the cues I've tried there is always a resonance or small vibration on contact.
With this cue it seems to "filter" that resonance,leaving just a pure clean hit.
