Unbelievable safety play

Great strategy!

I guess thinking like that is why these guys are in Manila and I'm not. LOL

I've seen this. The safety play isn't even as half as amazing as the jump that got him out of it.

Wow!

Great video, thanks for posting. Watched a match on ESPN classic with Fong Pang Chao and Bustamante this weekend with some great safety play as well.

Who says playing safe isn't exciting!?!

I watched that match as well, and what was even more amazing was the sudden death game and the shots made on the 1, 5, and 7 balls in that game. I have also saw another match between Fong Pang Chao and Bustamante (or Efren) that was a super match as well.

On any given day, if you make even one of those three shots in a race to 1, you've got to like your chances. I can't imagine how Busta felt coming out on the short end of that one. It would have been awesome to be there to see that match live!

I was there! Hehehe

This was in WPC 2006, Phil. International Convention Center, I think that was around the last 16/32 rounds. Luong Chi Dong (Vietnam) vs. Vilmos Foldes (Hungary). It was one of the most exciting matches to watch as it called attention to two very talented, young poolplayers. Dong eventually won it.

Nice insight of play from two young players.

On a side note, it was Corey Deuel who baptized the young Vietnamese the name of "Long Dong"! (I was there when he said it first!)
