The fact is that I rarely come here anymore cause all the crap. So I visit today and see more negative garbage, this time about a freebie.

I agree that the OP should have communicated better.

But this matter should have been kept private, IMO.

One dude changed his mind and/or didn't/couldn't/wouldn't follow through with an unselfish act of kindness. So dude #2 gets his panties in a wad over it and calls out first dude as a bad person?

That's just wrong. And 2 don't make a right.

That's my point.

W/E.

Thanks again for more uninformed input von. I did want it private, there wasn't anything wrong, so there wasn't a reason to post publicly.Follow the trail, and you might find i didn't want this public and in the hands of posters such as yourself. If you are so concerned about negativity, feel free to shake your own hand as you brought it. Thank you for informing me of wrong and right, after 38 years on this planet i finally get it. As for this deal, i don't care about the cue. I hoped he would tell me what happened, and that would be it. And 2 wrongs don't make a right, if there are 2 wrongs. I better write that down, never heard it before. Apparently honoring a commitment to a fellow azer isn't high on the honor list, nor is a simple pm saying it wasn't going to happen. Lesson learned. Thanks, i have to go unbunch my panties now....

In your own post He told you the kid lost it again.
That should be it done

Why am i discussing this with half of new jersey? weird. He also said he would get back to me, that's what i was trying to accomplish. I didn't neg rep him, i didn't drag him through the mud, i tried to get an answer. Funny, still haven't heard from the only person i wanted to hear from. Strange,huh....oh well. I'm over it, say what you will.

I think you're totally out of line here.

You're posting warnings about a fellow AZer and dragging his name through the mud because he didn't give you something for free?

His kid lost it again. So what? Kids do that stuff.

You're acting like you have something invested here. Your Post reads like those where peeps are actually ripped off, i.e. lost substantial sums of money to a rip-off. NOT THE CASE HERE!

He didn't disappoint your daughter - you did. Buy her a damn cue for crying out loud.

I agree, stop b****** and m****** and buy your kid a cue. What kind of parent promises gifts to their kids that they've yet to receive from someone they don't know with no charge... Not to defend hang the nine, but he ain't santa claus.

After he told you that the cue was lost again, that should have ended it. At that point the cue was gone. He had no cue to send you. Why would he have an obligation to contact you again?

This a discussion forum. Everyone has an opinion on these kinds of posts. IMO, you were flat wrong to bring this to this board and bad mouth him. I don't see the other guy being wrong in any way. Just my opinion, of course.

Here's the original thread on the Free Kid Cue -
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=114907

Judge for yourself but if you start a thread and "publically" offer to give something away and that changes for any reason
at least have the courtesy to make a post in the thread you started (or PM) that the offer was recinded.

IMO "this" thread was uncalled for and any comments should have been made in the Free Kid Cue thread.

Totally agree - nothing wrong with a change of mind - just say so.
No need to start this particular thread to complain about the other one.
