Uncored forearm

It is my time to order my Southwest and I was wondering what the Cuemakers on this forum thought would be the best combinations of woods for a uncored forearm and points? I like a hard hit with good feedback I was thinking Ebony but wasn't sure if it would hit very well uncored? Thanks.

I think there's a thread in the cue gallery that has pics of different Southwest wood combos. I'd suggest that you look through it and decide what is appealing to you. Pick out your favorite woods and colors and let Southwest take it from there. I've never seen a cored Southwest myself but if they do core, I'd just go with it. Don't concern yourself with their construction techniques. You're getting a Race horse of a cue and Southwest knows what works best with the different woods and their cues. Some cuemakers claim their cues hit like a southwest, Your cue WILL hit like a southwest no matter the wood choices. Congrats, and enjoy the experience. I'm jealous.
