Underappreciated Cue Makers Section

IIRC, Travis used to be a frequent here at AzB when he started building cues. He had tons of questions to the experienced cuemakers, provided photos of his work and was learning really fast. I think his first customers were here at AzB and many of them were really pleased with his earlier work. I pondered buying/ordering one but never pulled the trigger and now regret it. I don't see many BlackCreek cues in second hand market; a good sign the owners are reluctant to part with their BlackCreeks.

I concur. His cues caught my eye, very quickly.

I like to give a shout out for Garten Bierbower,

a fellow Ohioan. He makes an extremely nice playing cue. He had a stroke some time ago, hope he is doing better. Pics of one he did for me back in 2021-22.

I agree it doesnt get any better than BlackCreek cues. I have had one of his cues from around 2010 and i have played a lot with it. I have never experience a clearcoat like his and i have owned about 51 cues. It looks crystal clear and i have hit the butt against doors and chairs and it hasnt had one dent in it in 16 years. Hell i dont even see a scratch. His shafts are super smooth also.

Any idea what he used?
