Just a heads up to the readers of the straight pool forum...

I just read a post on the main forum about a potential 14.1 match between John Schmidt and Mike Sigel on June 24, 2008. From the IPT website, it appears they are holding a poll to see if the viewers want to see Sigel vs. Schmidt as an undercard to their 8ball event, or if another matchup would be preferred (http://www.internationalpooltour.com/Events/).

From JS's response in the main forum thread, it sounds like this may already be a confirmed match, but I voted anyway. I would really love to see this happen.

Look forward to seeing that. I think the undercard 14.1 match last time was better than the main ticket. I think Mike Siegel had better bring his A game.

He also better bring a few extra cue sticks. :)

John had better bring his "A" game as well. I am sure John is not taking Mike Sigel lightly - AT ALL. Age has not affected Mike's 14.1 prowess as much as people think it has. The guy is still a threat to run out the match whenever he comes to the table. John will definitely have his hands full - and what a great opportunity for John to showcase his skills against one of the best players in history - on the slow IPT cloth! This is going to be a great match-up of two of the greatest straight pool players alive today, and personally, I can't wait to see it!

For those who may not have heard...
In the last TAR challenge between John Schmidt & Danny Harriman, There were 5 100+ runs between the two of them in a race to 400. 2 by John (including his 1st trip to the table) & 3 by Danny.
Strong stuff!
