kinda funny story....
It's a wednesday evening in 2004 and my team has their league match.
We're playing against a team from HOB Weert, it's our first match against this team.
Around 7.45 they walk in and we notice one of the team members is a girl.
We're talking 5'2" 100 pounds soaking wet.
We generally beat most of the men on our league, so this should be a cakewalk.
Then we notice there's only three team members so she has to play two matches.
Heck this is getting better by the minute, this one is pretty much done before we start, right?
She doesn't warm up at all, and puts her name down for the two 9-ball matches.
So my team-mate and best friend (we play the same speed) hits a few balls around and starts his match.
She wins the lag. Breaks and runs out the first rack. Breaks and runs out the second.
My friend gets a chance in the third, but in the end he gets BBQ'd 6-1.
My other team mate plays a little below our speed and he has to play the second match.
He makes around 5 balls and licks his wounds 10 minutes later, 6-0.
We start a conversation and she tells me she's been playing snooker for a very
long time and recently started playing pool a lot more.
Well, we never underestimated a girl again.
Who did we play that night? Wendy Jans.
