Undisclosed Damage

strange to me.

1.if the seller knew it then he would expect to get it returned so why not disclose it.
2.so its possible the buyer accidentally did it after he received it.
3. seller returned the money so it worked out okay and neither side should post about it
4. if i thought the seller intentional misrepresented it then i would not send it back in fear he would keep it and not refund.

5. a seller should send a complete video of the cue to the buyer and the buyer should demand that.
that would protect both.

So, you think it went down like this, "This cue is mint, but because I might not be disclosing some damage, I'll sell it to you for a 20% discount. Dealio, Pops??
I didn't know what happened which is why I asked the question. OP sent me a PM and explained the situation.

I'll say two things. I would never pay that much for a pool cue. If I did pay that much I would expect it to be in perfect condition with solid gold joint and diamond inlays and I would never play with it because I might damage my investment.

My current playing cue is a cue I bought on ebay for $200. Custom cue. Rolls straight. Plays great. Seller listed as unknown but I saw the signature between the points. Seller probably got it at a pawn shop and made a profit. It isn't perfect but I definitely wasn't going to return it at that price.

Guy tried to pull a move and got busted....this was a dump.

I'd get a 300 dollar to replace the leather, then sharpie it and move on.
