I am not trying to knock this guys action, but I am very curious who he is.

Saturday night two guys and a girl in their late twenties to mid thirties showed up at Fiddlestix in Canton Ohio. The skinny guy was backing a stocker guy about 5'8-6' with very short brown hair wearing a retro Atari tshirt. They said they are from Buffalo and were looking for cheap action. They matched up with the best player in the room playing races to 11 for a nickle. I had a small part of the action and a rail bet on the local player. The first set went all are way 11-4 the local player only missed two balls the whole set. Then we agreed to give up a game on the wire to eleven and the Roadie played flawless as far as shotmaking that set unded up 11-2 not in our favor. I have never seen the roadie before, but he seemed to have another gear and he was not interested in playing for more than the nickel a set. Any idea who he is? At first I thought it may have been a hagard Mike Rinella but I was assured by my player it was not. Please satisfy my curiousity.

Thanks
Huck

Sounds just like "Buffalo Bill"....He only plays for a nickle because he only takes a dime with him into a pool room. He wants to make sure he has another barrell to fire in case he is beaten in a "fluke" set.....He usually slow plays the first set in order to let his mark build some confidence...He progressivly gets better with each set.....BTW...the Atari shirt is just because he does not have a shirt that says VINCENT

He beat Chris Szuter 11-2? Pretty strong. I'm assuming that it's Chris doing the asking around.

I never mentioned that it was Chris, but no it was I that was asking. I think the guy had a line on anyone that plays there. He wanted to play someone like Ben Z instead of Chris. They seemed to be willing to gamble they were by no means nut peddlers. I just wonder who he was. I don't think the game was out of line when they played but playing "the best player in the room" on the front table is a tough nut to crack.

I don't think the first set was really a fluke the local player looked a lot sharper, but made a few mistakes the second set. Thanks for the reply
