Hey guys...

Just found the forum, been playing for quite a few years..

Anyways, I just had a cue given to me by my father.. He doesnt really know much about it other than he bought it back in the 50's or 60's and I am trying to gather any information I can on it.

It is an Aluminum cue, it DOES have a sticker at the base that reads ALCOA Le Fiell TITAN Q - Patent Applied For.

Its sort of a goldish/orange (brass color) and brown marble finish, with a solid brass colored shaft.

I have contacted ALCOA, and they have no Idea what it is, as well as Le Fiell sports.. not even the "higher ups" in the companies really knew what it was / where it came from. Thier best guess was that it was a promotional gift made for Execs at Alcoa in the 60's..

All i can find out is that the TITAN Q trademark is expired and was registered in 1966.

Sorry If I sound dumb here, but I dont think this is a common cue... Id like to find out before I play with it! :)

I will try to post pics later if you need them!

Thanks for any help!

post pics, there are some seriously smart ppl on here that know more about cues then i thought was even possible

In the late 60's there were aluminum cues of this type made and sold. They weren't much for playing. In fact I have a ratty one in my junk pile, it has a gold colored butt and a reddish shaft.

Hmm.. I know its gotta be from the 60's - thats a start...

It seems to be well balanced, and its straighter than an arrow.

Anyone else have any idea?

Looks as though it had similiar success to the aluminium tennis racquet of the 70s.

Welcome to Az.
