I'm trying to help someone out with the identification of an older cue he has. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

I think that may be a Mizerak cue, sold in K-mart and other department stores.

Can you post a clearer pic of the logo?

That was my first impression also. I think the old Mizerak cues had like a dove or bird sillhoutte on the butt cap

Yeah I can third that, I remember the dove from those cues also, and actually had one. That must have been around 20 years ago it seems. We did'nt have alot of places close by to get decent cues back then, and that was the best thing going in the deparment stores at the time. The cue did play decent for what they cost, and mine held up for a while, but took so much abuse back then, that It eventually started coming apart, and was used for parts. It was a decent playing cue for bar play, and got the monies worth from It with ease. It paid for It'self. Greg

Unfortunately I can't. I took the pics a few days ago and don't have the cue available at this time.

The logo appeared to be either a dove or a swan. So, I'm going to go along with the older cheap cue scenario. I think the cue has sentimental value for the guy who owns it, so hearing that it's really not worth anything won't dissapoint him too much.

Thanks for all of the help on this.

hello the cue you are showing may have a little fuzzy picture but may be worth a little more than ya think it does not look like a mizerack cue to me it looks like a Black hawk custom cue i looked in the blue bookand the logo looks like it matches to me on the butt cap... let me know what ya think

I think you're mistaken. By just looking at the Blackhawk logo in the Blue Book I was pretty sure, but here's a link to an auction for a Mizerak cue with a clearer pic of the logo. Obviously the colors are reversed, but it looks like a match to me. Even the ringwork, joint & pin look the same.

> That's a Miz,no question about it. Sometimes, they had actual figure in the wood,I bought one once for 25 bucks on clearance that had a decent piece of birdseye in the forearm and butt sleeve, used it as a break cue for over a year after having an Aegis ferrule installed, and sold it for 100 bucks with a black collared Meucci shaft with it,I still see him playing with it occasionally.
