Five separate racks in the match. My count could be off a game or so either way. He also had a few other racks off of Duel misses or bad safes that went just as quickly. He just didn't give Corey a chance to breathe. The only slow part was when Corey took a break. Luc waited . . . . and paced . . . . and picked up right where he left off 10 minutes earlier. I'm not saying Corey was trying to throw him off by waiting. But, if he was . . . . . IT DIDN'T WORK!sniper said:Was this a Five pack where each rack took him 45 seconds or Five seperate racks during the course of the match that were 45 seconds apiece? If that was a five pack that's tough because it's like going down 5-0 in about 5 minutes considering racking time!
One thing I noticed about Salvas, when he starts stringing racks together he actually speeds up as he goes if you can believe that. At the 2004 World Pool Masters against Johnny Archer he broke and ran in 27 seconds...3 balls off the break, his next match he whitewashed Hohmann in less than half an hour 8-0!

Whoah! Only one match got the shot clock when I was there. Thank God, cuz I was slipping into a slow motion coma.drivermaker said:Nah...that's not frustration. Frustration to me is having an opponent run 5 racks in an hour because they're slower than dog shit from having to walk around the table 6 times studying every shot or angle like they've never seen it before in their life!

Yep, you could guess immediately and you did. As much as I've heard about it, I was not prepared to witness the pace with my own eyes. I don't understand it. It was as painful to watch as Sergio Garcia's re-grips a couple of years ago.drivermaker said:Would this be an "out of the ordinary" guess on the combatants or one that I could guess immediately? Does the last name start with the second letter of the alphabet per chance?

Yes, he was. He had been beaten by Earl earlier (Earl's first win over Mika in six years) when he came back from the loser's side to win it for the second year in a row.CrownCityCorey said:If I am not mistaken, Mika was the defending champion of this event.
For those of you who have not met Timberly, you need to. Smart, funny, pretty, and don't let her avatar tag line fool you, she got game. However, she really needs to come out of her shell and not be shy with people.Timberly said:I had the pleasure of meeting a few more AZB'ers while I was there. I was finally able to meet the one & only Drivermaker! LOL, he's a hard a$$ in person too but I still managed to get a photograph that the forum might enjoy.Maybe I'll post it soon...
I also got to meet my "seperated at birth" twin brother ScottR...LOL, we have so much in common, we have to be twins! (Scott, thanks for shooting with me. It's a shame it was so late in the evening by the time we got started) I also had the pleasure of meeting & spending time talking to "semi-lurker" bgb & bonafide lurker stevenl.
Thanks to old & new friends alike for providing me with such an enjoyable weekend!

Good times, Timberly my friend, good times!![]()
And, for you horndogs out there, I met the infamous Marissa and got a whole new insight into her persona.J/K Marissa.
And, finally, I discussed a get rich quick scheme with none other than FAST LARRY. He doesn't know me from a hole in the ground, so I didn't really introduce myself as an AzBer. But, we had a short talk about pool and other stuff. He's funny!
Drivermaker dodged me though. Or, did I dodge him?![]()
Will you be at The Pool Room for the Southern Classic Open at all? I'll be up for a couple hours tonight, then will come up again Friday for the whole weekend.drivermaker said:Both YOU and MAWISSA dodged me!
I guess I didn't spend enough time with Timberly for her to see my soft, gentle, sensitive side.![]()
