Update: Joss Event at Classic Billiards in Rochester, NY

The Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour is at Classic Billiards in Rochester, NY this weekend with 32 players competing for a $4,560 total prize fund.

Some notable players in the field include Tom "Shorty" D'Alfonso, Ryan "Genie Man" McCreesh, Mike Zuglan, Hongsavady "Jockey" Vongxay, Evan Broxmeyer, Dan Kolacz, Canada's Dan Doerner, Rochester's Ron "Julio" Casanzio and AzB's "Cardiac Kid", Lyn Wechsler.

They are down to the final eight players and Sunday’s matches starting at noon are;

On the Winners Side:
Tom D'Alfonso vs Dan Doerner
Mike Zuglan vs Hongsavady Vongxay

On the One Loss Side:
Ryan McCreesh vs Tony Morrison
Shane Winters vs Ron Casanzio

Also, Mike Zuglan is taking entries for the recently announced Turning Stone Classic VII 9-Ball Open which will also serve as the 2006 Joss Tour Season Finale.

This $25,000 added event will fill fast and is limited to the first 128 paid entries. It will take place on August 17th - 20th, 2006 at the beautiful Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY.

Remember, the previous six Turning Stone events were SOLD OUT so enter early!

The Turning Stone is a non-alcohol serving casino which means you only need to be 18 to gamble on the casino floor. All ages are welcome in the Event Center and spectator admission is FREE.

Dana, I'm not sure of when the next Joss Tour event is, but if it is in Albany, NY at the Golden Cue, April 15th and 16th, I'm going to be there for sure. Man, what a time of year: April 15th, Dooms Day for the Self-Employed.

Looking forward to seeing the whole gang at Joe's Grill. This little tavern, right next door to the pool room, is cozy, and the regulars are as much a part of the whole pool experience as are the welcoming staff at the Golden Cue.

At any rate, Keith is gunning to snatch a victory once more. Three time's a charm, as they say. Here's a pic below of some of the gang at Joe's Grill congratulating Keith after he won the Joss tournament in 2005, defeating Canadian Danny Hewitt in the finals. They gave him a standing ovation when he walked in the front door. What a great memory for me!

Golden Cue Billiards - April 22-23, 2006

Dana, I'm not sure of when the next Joss Tour event is, but if it is in Albany, NY at the Golden Cue, April 15th and 16th, I'm going to be there for sure.

Actually, the next event is at the Golden Cue on April 22nd & 23rd.., I'm sure Rocco Spinelli and the boy's will be happy to see both you and Keith again.
